The HPC Revolution Lineup Explained: Revolution, W, X, XX, MX & MX Pro

The Revolution name covers six different bikes at Hi Power Cycles, and they are not simply the same bike with different paint. Each one targets a different rider, terrain, and power ceiling. Here's how the whole family breaks down.

Revolution — the original, from $11,000

The bike that started it all. A hand-welded, USA-built 6061-T6 aluminum freeride/DH frame weighing just 13 lbs, with a 203mm-travel RockShox Boxxer RC dual-crown fork, a Vivid R2C coil shock delivering over 9" of frame travel, and the Schlumpf High Speed Drive for a pedalable 85T-equivalent top gear. Power options run from 5,000W up to a full 10,000W, with a top speed of 42-55 mph depending on motor and power configuration, and up to 100+ miles of range with the optional battery. This is the do-it-all Revolution: DH capable, but built for riders who want the full breadth of what the platform can do.

Revolution X — the flagship, from $15,000

The Revolution X takes the same hand-built USA frame and adds HPC's best available components across the board: a 203mm RockShox Boxxer World Cup fork, a Vivid R2C Air shock, Magura MT7 quad-piston brakes, and the DVO factory-tune suspension package, individually valved to the rider's weight at the DVO factory. Power steps up to 6,000W standard with a 7,000W option, capable of 60+ mph. If the Revolution is the all-rounder, the X is the no-compromises version of the same bike.

Revolution W — the collaboration, $29,995

A 27-unit limited edition built with Wayne Enterprises, officially licensed by Warner Bros. Discovery/DC Comics. The Revolution W pairs an aerospace-grade aluminum chassis with forged carbon body paneling, EXT Ferro/Arma MX suspension front and rear (over 9" of travel), Magura Gustav brakes, a Schlumpf High Speed Drive, and a fully custom HPC-tuned Nucular P24F controller running a 78V 27.9Ah USA-made battery. The result: 10,500W, 280Nm of torque, an 80 mph top speed, and up to 100 miles of range. It's the fastest e-bike HPC has ever built, and the most exclusive.

Revolution XX — the record-setter (sold out, 20 units)

The Revolution XX pushed the Revolution platform to its absolute limit: a one-off 2T-wound motor, a custom FOC/sine-wave controller putting out 10,000W (13.4 hp), and a reimagined 23S8P USA-made battery pack built to handle the current draw. Officially rated at 70+ mph, HPC's test rider recorded 74 mph on radar at El Mirage Dry Lake, with the Schlumpf drive still allowing usable pedaling at that speed. All 20 units sold out, but it remains the high-water mark for what the Revolution platform is capable of, and the direct engineering ancestor of the Revolution X and Revolution W.

Revolution MX — the downhill e-MTB, from $10,500

A different animal from the street-oriented Revolution models: the Revolution MX is a 72V downhill e-MTB, built USA-made and engineered to be the lightest, most powerful bike in its category. Up to 6,000W of power, a 100-mile range, and a 50 mph top speed, in a package built for technical descents rather than top-end speed runs.

Revolution MX Pro — the 78V upgrade, from $12,500

The MX Pro takes the same downhill e-MTB platform and steps the architecture up to 78V, HPC's newest voltage optimization point. Same 6,000W power ceiling and 50 mph top speed as the standard MX, but the higher-voltage system delivers that power with less current draw and less voltage sag, meaning more consistent performance deeper into a descent or a long day of climbing and shuttling.
