Nucular Controllers Explained: HPC's High-Power Alternative to the ASI BAC4000

Riders searching for a high-power controller such as the ASI BAC4000 are usually after the same things: high battery voltage, big current and tunable field-oriented control (FOC). HPC does not sell the ASI controller. Instead, every high-power build and upgrade we offer is based on Nucular controllers, which we have tested against almost everything else on the market. This guide covers what we offer and which one fits your build.
Nucular P24F: the flagship
The Nucular P24F ($730) is the controller behind HPC's fastest builds, including the Revolution W. Key specs:
- Max power: 27 kW
- Max phase current: 500 A
- Max battery current: 350 A
- Battery voltage: 48V to 90V (13S to 21S Li-ion)
- Size and weight: 205 x 98 x 50 mm, 1,440 g
It needs a display or on-board computer, or a USB2CAN module, for setup. See our full P24F specs and wiring guide.
Nucular X6F: the 15 kW option
For smaller builds, the Nucular X6F ($400) is a 15 kW FOC controller.
Plug-and-ride P24F upgrade kits
HPC also sells the P24F as ready-to-fit kits for popular electric bikes, each with 27 kW of maximum power:
- Sur-Ron Light Bee / Segway X260 ($850)
- Talaria MX3 / MX4 / MX5 ($850)
- Talaria XXX ($825)
- Apollo RFN ($830)
- Arctic Leopard ($800)
- E-Ride Pro SS 2.0 and 3.0 ($850)
Accessories
Round out a Nucular setup with the On-Board Computer 2.0 display ($130), the Bluetooth module ($35) for wireless tuning, and the thumb throttle / regen lever ($28).
What is next: the P6F
HPC's newest controller is the Nucular P6F, which we plan to use on new models in the future. We will share details as those models are released.
