The HPC Trailblazer Lineup Explained: Trailblazer, Pro, AT & AT Pro

HPC Trailblazer AT fat-tire enduro

The HPC Trailblazer family is built around one idea: a lightweight, handbuilt, high-power electric bike that still rides like a real mountain bike. There are now four models, and picking the right one comes down to terrain, budget and how much performance you want. Here is how they compare.

Trailblazer: the full-carbon trail bike

The 2026 Trailblazer (from $6,800) is HPC's full-carbon full-suspension trail bike, with 160mm of front travel and 155mm at the rear. The base 750W build weighs just 51 lbs with the battery. You choose the power level and battery to suit your riding:

  • Power levels: 750W, 1200W or 1600W
  • Torque: 100 Nm, 120 Nm or 150 Nm
  • Battery: 52V USA-made packs from 546Wh up to 910Wh, for up to 27, 36 or 45 miles of range

It has torque-sensing pedal assist plus an on-demand thumb throttle, with 11-50T gearing low enough to climb almost anything.

Trailblazer Pro: the ultimate full-carbon build

The 2026 Trailblazer Pro (from $13,000) is the top of the trail line: a handbuilt full-carbon enduro e-bike assembled in the USA with factory-tuned suspension and a configurable drivetrain. Builds include a trail-legal 750W Class 1 setup (20 mph), a 1200W build (30+ mph) and a full-power 2000W build (38-40 mph). Battery options range from 10Ah (up to 25 miles) to 20.25Ah (up to 52 miles). Drivetrain options include SRAM Transmission XX, a Rohloff 14-speed hub, the Rohloff E-14 electronic hub and a Gates Carbon belt drive.

Trailblazer AT: the fat-tire enduro

The Trailblazer AT (from $7,000) takes the Trailblazer platform to fat tires for float, grip and confidence on sand, snow and loose terrain, without giving up enduro-grade suspension. It is the pick if your riding is more all-terrain than singletrack.

Trailblazer AT Pro: the extreme-performance fat enduro

The Trailblazer AT Pro (from $12,000) is the flagship of the fat-tire line, built for riders who want maximum performance on big rubber.

The V2 motor system and dyno data

Current Trailblazers are powered by HPC's exclusive V2 Bafang M560, which uses a lower-KV motor to deliver about 5% more torque and a fuller torque curve across the range. HPC has dyno-tested the 2000W V2 system across all 11 gears at the wheel. The results on the Trailblazer V2 2000W performance page include peak wheel torque of 167.5 N-m, peak wheel power of 1.75 kW and a measured top speed of 42.2 mph, with an interactive chart of torque and power in every gear. There is also a page for the stock M560 V2 performance, and our blog post on the 2000W V2 Bafang M560 torque and power curves explains what the data shows.

Which Trailblazer should you choose?

  • Trail riding on a budget: Trailblazer
  • Ultimate carbon performance and drivetrain options: Trailblazer Pro
  • Sand, snow and soft terrain: Trailblazer AT
  • Maximum fat-tire performance: Trailblazer AT Pro
