HPC Revolution W: Specs, Top Speed, Range & Price

HPC Revolution W limited edition electric bike

The HPC Revolution W is the fastest bike Hi Power Cycles builds. It's a hand-assembled, officially licensed Wayne Enterprises edition of the Revolution platform, with 10,500W of peak power, an 80 MPH top speed and up to 100 miles of range. If you came here for Revolution W specs, top speed, range or price, this page has all of them in one place.

If you want the backstory, including the Batman connection and why only 27 are being built, read HPC x Wayne Enterprises: The Revolution W Story. This post is the reference sheet.

Frame and bodywork

Like every Revolution, the W starts with a 6061-T6 aluminum frame that is fabricated and welded in California. What sets it apart is the forged carbon body paneling and windshield, along with a rally-style cockpit under a forged carbon fairing. It's the most finished-looking bike HPC has made, and every W is assembled by hand at HPC's California headquarters, then shipped fully built in a custom Wayne Enterprises crate.

Motor, controller and battery

The W pairs a gearless, air-cooled brushless DC motor with an HPC-tuned Nucular P24F controller running at 78V with sine wave/FOC control. FOC control is a big part of why a bike making this much power still feels smooth from a standstill. Power peaks at 10,500W with 280Nm of torque.

The battery is a USA-made 78V 27.9Ah pack in a 21S9P layout. HPC rates it for up to 100 miles of range on throttle alone at 20 mph. At 80 MPH, range drops sharply because aerodynamic drag climbs steeply with speed, so read the 100-mile figure as a cruising number. Our guide to high-voltage battery systems explains why 78V platforms can carry this kind of speed.

Suspension

Suspension is premium EXT front and rear: an EXT Ferro fork with 200mm of travel and an EXT Arma MX 9.5 x 3.0" shock, giving over 9 inches of frame travel. EXT is a handmade Italian suspension brand, and the fork and shock are set up for the weight and speed of this bike. For more on how downhill-grade forks and shocks differ, see High-End E-Bike Suspension.

Brakes, wheels and tires

Stopping a bike that reaches 80 MPH needs moto-level hardware. The W uses Magura Gustav brakes with thick 2.5mm, 223mm rotors at both ends. The wheels are custom 32-hole 19 x 1.6" moto-style rims laced with Phil Wood 12g spokes, running Shinko 244 19 x 2.75" tires. Up front is a White Industries XMR 110 x 20mm hub.

Drivetrain

The W keeps working pedals. A Schlumpf High Speed Drive gives a 34T/85T equivalent front ring, with a Rohloff single-speed chain tensioner and a KMC DLC 10 chain. That tall gearing is what lets a rider keep pedaling at speeds where a normal drivetrain would spin out. Read more in Schlumpf High Speed Drive: 2-Speed Gearing for E-Bikes.

Cockpit, tech and touring kit

  • 5.5-inch TFT color smart display with Bluetooth
  • Variable thumb throttle
  • Forward and rear cameras (Cycliq Fly12 and Fly6)
  • Fully integrated LED lighting

Revolution W vs the rest of the Revolution line

The W is the fastest and most powerful bike in the Revolution family. The Revolution X is the flagship downhill build at $15,000 with 6,000W standard and 60+ MPH on its 7,000W option. The Revolution MX and MX Pro are the 50 MPH, 72V and 78V downhill builds. For a head-to-head on the two top models, read Revolution W vs Revolution X. For the whole family, see The HPC Revolution Lineup Explained.

Who the Revolution W is for

The W is for collectors and experienced high-speed riders who want the top of the HPC range in a limited, officially licensed build. It isn't a commuter or a first high-power e-bike. Only 27 will be built, so contact HPC to check availability before you plan around one.

Before you ride

A bike that reaches 80 MPH and makes 10,500W is well outside the legal definition of an electric bicycle in the US, which caps motors at 750W and assisted speed at 20 or 28 mph. Ride it on private land and closed off-road terrain, wear moto-grade protective gear, and check your state's rules before riding anywhere else. In California, a new law (SB 1167, effective January 1, 2027) makes the line between e-bikes and higher-powered electric vehicles even clearer. We cover it in 50 MPH Electric Bikes.
